Job summary

Commercial Properties Limited is seeking a Maintenance Team member in Saint John to perform facilities maintenance across building systems, including HVAC and electrical equipment. The role includes responding to service requests, preventative maintenance, and overseeing contractor activities.

Candidates should have 3–5 years in facility management, a high school diploma with trades training/licensing, and knowledge of safety codes.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years' experience in facility management or building maintenance.
• High school diploma plus trades training or licensing.
• Knowledge of fire, life, safety, and building codes.
• Effective communication skills for data relay, exchange and clarification.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and on-demand service requests and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility equipment.
• Ensure work completed meets quality, contract response and all other requirements.
• Participate in and assist with facility-related projects.
• Oversee Contractor activities.
• Building system start-up (HVAC, boilers, chillers).
• General maintenance and repairs.
• Preventative maintenance activities on building systems.
• Navigate HVAC building controls (Delta Controls and Automated Logic).
• Perform regular facility mechanical and electrical systems monitoring and inspection.
• Snow removal when required.
