Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a mid-level Substation Physical Design Engineer responsible for detailed HV substation design up to 500 kV, and related calculations and specifications. You will lead design efforts, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires strong client interaction, budget/schedule management, and ABET-accredited BS with PE eligibility. Occasional travel and US work eligibility are expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS degree is required.
• 5+ years of substation physical design experience.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States for any length of time.
• PE license required, ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Detailed physical design for high voltage substations up to 500kV.
• Create/modify single line diagrams and general arrangements.
• Prepare specifications, reports, and material lists.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and manage design budget/schedule.
• Provide field support during construction and commissioning.
