Job summary

A leading design firm in Metro Vancouver is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work on high voltage substation projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, at least 6 years of relevant experience, and must be a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng). Responsibilities include conducting detailed engineering design and providing mentoring to junior staff. This position offers flexibility with a hybrid work environment and competitive compensation in line with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in HV substations design for utilities.
• Field experience in commissioning and testing is beneficial.
• Proven knowledge in Civil/Structural engineering is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed designs of substations including layouts and grounding plans.
• Prepare technical specifications for construction and testing.
• Mentor junior Engineers and support project execution.
