Job description

SHR Talent is partnering with a fast-growing manufacturing organization in Nashville, TN in its search for a Human Resource Manager. The Human Resources Manager has a key role in the company’s ongoing growth and will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources, from recruitment and employee relations to performance management and compliance. The ideal candidate for the Human Resources Manager opportunity will be a strong communicator and a proactive problem solver with a background in manufacturing environments.

As the Human Resources Manager, you will oversee Recruitment and staffing, employee Relations, performance Management, Compliance, Training and Development, Compensation and Benefits, and Human Resources Strategy. The Human Resources Manager has an impactful role as you will play a key part in shaping the Human Resources function within a growing organization and offers career growth, and aa collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried positions, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, providing conflict resolution and guidance on company policies and procedures
  • Manage performance review processes, providing feedback and developing action plans to ensure employee success
  • Ensure the company adheres to all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, including OSHA and other workplace safety standards
  • Implement and oversee training programs to enhance employee skills, support career development, and improve company performance
  • Administer employee compensation, benefits programs, and payroll management, ensuring competitive and equitable offerings
  • Partner with senior leadership to align Human Resources practices with organizational goals, focusing on employee engagement, retention, and organizational development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in human resources management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations, Human Resources best practices, and performance management techniques
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Experience with Human Resources software and systems such as Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), payroll systems, and ATS
  • Certification Human Resources such as Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or Society for Human Resource Management - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), a plus
  • Proven ability to manage complex employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and their application to Human Resources practices, a plus
