Job summary

Dawn Staffing Solutions Inc. in Cobourg, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR at our automotive manufacturing facility.

You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and performance management, ensuring payroll and benefits activities run smoothly to support a skilled workforce.

This role requires 5+ years in HR, a degree in HR or related field, and HR designation is an asset; CHRP/CHRL considered a plus for candidate progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field.
• CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of employment standards, labor relations, and workplace legislation.
• Experience supporting unionized and/or non-unionized workforces.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR activities for the manufacturing facility.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives for hourly and salaried employees.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and health & safety regulations.
• Support performance management, succession planning, and employee development programs.
• Partner with managers on workforce planning and staffing needs.
• Coordinate training programs and maintain training records.
• Manage compensation, benefits administration, and payroll-related HR activities.
• Monitor attendance, absenteeism, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Prepare HR reports, metrics, and recommendations for senior management.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity and satisfaction.

Pay - $100-$120K
