Job Description:

Reporting to our Director, Total Rewards within Human Resources, the HR Advisor's primary responsibilities include coordinating, executing, and troubleshooting processes related to employee lifecycle events, developing and delivering HR reporting and data analytics, supporting process improvements, and maintaining HR systems. The HR Advisor serves as a key interface for HR with internal partners to ensure effective operations, data accuracy, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop understanding of process and evidence requirements for audits and compliance.
  • Support ISMS and CIP audit requirements with relevant evidence.
  • Identify and implement HR process improvements for compliance and efficiency.
  • Handle internal and external audit queries and lead interviews.
  • Manage position data in HR systems, ensuring alignment with business plans and GTA.
  • Consult with business partners, provide recommendations, and track improvements.
  • Provide data analysis for planning processes and resolve anomalies.
  • Maintain accuracy of headcount, organization charts, and related reports.
  • Oversee organizational structure design in SAP, including reorganization activities.
  • Manage data complexity and system setup.
  • Provide expertise across HR processes, ensuring changes are manageable and aligned with business needs.
  • Monitor process effectiveness and implement improvements.
  • Document business processes for continuous improvement.
  • Support employee lifecycle events, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage process termination requests and communicate with stakeholders.

The HR Advisor owns HR reporting and analytics, covering employee data from various sources, and supports HRIS administration, including Pulse Surveys, LMS, and SAP.

  • Provide backup support to other HR functions as needed.
Requirements:
  • University degree or HR diploma with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with a degree, or 5-7 years with a certificate.
  • Knowledge of HR disciplines including performance management, recruitment, and benefits.
Additional Skills:
  • Proficiency in HR systems like SAP, SuccessFactors, Oracle.
  • Advanced Excel and Visio skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of HR legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards, Collective Agreements, and audit processes is a plus.
