Job summary

Options Consulting Solutions seeks an HR professional to provide guidance on workplace policies, employment legislation, and best practices, partnering with leaders to address employee relations matters and investigations.

You will support performance management, onboarding, and lifecycle activities while maintaining confidential records and coordinating with Payroll and IT. The role requires 4+ years in HR, preferably healthcare or regulated environments, and a diploma in HR.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of employment legislation and unionized environments.
• Experience managing employee relations issues and workplace investigations.
• CHRP designation (completed or in progress) is a plus.
• Experience with HR analytics and data management.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR guidance to managers and employees on policies and best practices.
• Partner with leaders to resolve employee relations matters via coaching and investigations.

• Coordinate onboarding, transfers, and offboarding processes.

The Job!

Working closely with managers and employees, you'll provide guidance on HR best practices, employee relations, workplace policies, and talent initiatives while helping foster an engaged, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.

• Provide day-to-day HR guidance and support to managers and employees on workplace policies, employment legislation, and best practices.
• Partner with leaders to resolve employee relations matters through coaching, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
• Support performance management by assisting with employee development plans, performance conversations, and corrective action when required.
• Coordinate employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, orientation, internal transfers, and offboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records within HR systems while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
• Work collaboratively with Payroll and IT to facilitate employee changes, new hires, and terminations.
• Assist with implementing HR programs, policies, and initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and organizational culture.
• Support organizational change initiatives and help leaders navigate workplace transitions.
• Analyze HR trends and recommend process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure HR practices comply with employment legislation, company policies, and collective agreement requirements.
• Contribute to special HR projects and provide additional support as business needs evolve.

What you bring to the job

You come with experience working in a unionized environment with knowledge of collective agreements. You come with:

• Diploma, degree, or certificate in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing employee relations issues and workplace investigations.
• CHRP designation (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.
• Experience using HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.

Expected Compensation: CAD $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per annum.
