Job summary

Altis Technology in Woodbridge, Ontario, seeks an HR Generalist to support a 100-employee multi‑provincial operation. The role blends day-to-day HR administration with projects across policies, safety, workforce planning and programs. Hybrid work with approximately 2 days on-site weekly.

You will partner with an HR Manager, handle recruitment, onboarding, benefits, leaves and confidential data while ensuring compliance with Canadian standards, in English and French.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on HR experience.
  • Professional fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with Quebec employment requirements.
  • Health and safety administration or coordination experience.
  • Experience in distribution, manufacturing, warehouse or similar industrial environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources and knowledge of Canadian employment standards.
  • Strong organization, communication and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for employees, answering day-to-day HR questions and providing timely support.
  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation, HRIS updates and other lifecycle activities.
  • Support health and safety administration, coordinating requirements with operational leaders.
  • Maintain confidential employee information and support benefits, leaves and related changes.
  • Contribute to HR projects involving policies, processes, and employee programs.
  • Support employees and managers across multiple Canadian provinces, including Quebec.

About the Opportunity

Are you an HR professional ready to take the next step into a Generalist role? This permanent opportunity with a growing organization in the service and distribution sector offers the chance to work closely with an experienced HR Manager while building hands‑on experience across the full employee lifecycle.

Supporting approximately 100 employees across Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia, youll become a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers. Youll balance day‑to‑day HR administration with meaningful involvement in projects related to health and safety, employee programs, policies, workforce planning and process improvements.

Your Responsibilities
  • Youll act as a first point of contact for employees, responding to day‑to‑day HR questions and providing timely support.

Skills and Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hands‑on Human Resources experience, ideally as an HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, HR Representative or junior HR Generalist.
  • Professional fluency in both English and French, written and spoken.
  • Practical HR experience supporting employees in Quebec and familiarity with Quebec employment requirements.
  • Previous health and safety administration or coordination experience.
  • Experience working in a distribution, manufacturing, warehouse, field service or similar industrial environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources and strong knowledge of Canadian employment standards and HR practices.
  • Strong organization, communication and judgment, with the ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
