Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or emerging professional in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, seeking hands-on experience in managing a key business function. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager and collaborating closely with the club leadership team, the HR & Payroll Coordinator ensures our team members are paid accurately each pay period. Responsibilities:

  1. Onboard new employees into the HR, Payroll & Time Attendance system (Rise) and other company-wide systems; process updates and terminations.
  2. Assist in processing semi-monthly payroll for 700+ hourly and salaried employees, including bonuses, commissions, overtime, sick leave, and statutory holidays.
  3. Administer electronic employee files, prepare HR & Payroll reports, and process ROEs and T4s.
  4. Support the administration of the company's benefits plan by determining eligibility and enrolling employees.
  5. Maintain employee records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  6. Assist occasionally in recruitment activities such as posting openings, scheduling phone screens, and related tasks.
  7. Support the HR Manager with other related functions as required.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Payroll certification is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • At least one year of experience in an administrative environment.
  • Proficient in Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently; self-motivated and proactive.
  • Friendly, professional, and service-oriented at all organizational levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule to ensure timely payroll processing.
