As a central member of our People & Culture team, you are the face of human resources to existing, new, and potential Glencoe employees. You’ll provide thorough day-to-day guidance, recommendations, and support on all aspects of the employee life cycle including employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding/orientation, and learning & development, as well as policies, procedures, protocols, and best practice to leaders and employees at both Clubs.

As a dedicated problem solver, you lean into situations and opportunities to build HR capabilities and capacity through solutions and outcomes that capitalize on growth and value, creating an engaged environment grounded in sound advice and best practices that align with organizational values, mission, vision, and strategic plan.
Responsibilities
- Provide regular day-to-day advice, guidance, and support to leaders and employees, answering routine inquiries based on HR best practice while in alignment with corporate policies/procedures
- Establish, enhance, and deliver support in all foundational areas and aspects of human resources across the Glencoe (including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, offboarding, etc.)
- Lead, administer, and manage the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes supporting hiring managers to effectively source, select, and acquire talent
- Educate, interpret, develop, and implement policies, practices, and initiatives in alignment with Alberta Human Rights Act, Employment Standards, and other applicable legislation
- Champion the employee and candidate experience across the organization, advocating and driving continuous improvement to existing practices and processes
- Plan, develop, and execute recognition and engagement activities including employee awards, appreciation, and acknowledgement
- Facilitate club wide training and development on HR best practice including planned sessions, lunch & learns, and yearly ongoing certifications
- Support and contribute to projects and workforce initiatives including preparation, implementation, and administration
- Provide support to the HR team and organization through research, recommendations, reporting, trend analysis, and compliance
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree/Diploma in Human Resources
- 2-3 years’ experience in Human Resources with a concentration in recruitment, employee relations, HRIS (UKG preferable), data/analytics, and administration
- Demonstrated experience engaging with employees and front-line management to effectively support, guide, and resolve issues or concerns
- Experience with the implementation and application of employment legislation and policies/procedures including interpretation, consultation, and advice
- An excellent communicator with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and deliver on enhancements and continuous improvement of the employee experience through strong relationships, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Insight, understanding, and awareness across multiple areas of human resources, including best practices with respect to the employee lifecycle
- Consistently demonstrate professionalism and good judgement, while maintaining tact, discretion, and confidentiality at all times
- CPHR designation is considered an asset

Additional Details
This is a full-time salaried position that reports to the Director of People & Culture. The successful candidate will require reliable transportation between both clubs and may be required to work a variety of shifts on occasion including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays based on the nature of the business.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace online certifications prior to commencing employment.
