Qualifications

  • Completion of or working towards CPHR designation.

Make an impact as a Human Resources Business Partner, Regional Human Capital. Please note, internally this role is referred to as a Generalist, Regional Human Capital, however the duties reflect those of an HR Business Partner.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to team members and leaders on a wide range of human capital issues including policies, compliance, employee relations, problem resolution, total rewards and performance management
  • Independently manage complex human resource projects as assigned including developing solutions, creating action plans and communications
  • Participate in administration for promotions, transfers, job classifications, compensation and annual performance evaluations
  • Assist with investigations of complex situations as they arise and provide guidance as needed
  • Manage employee data records including employee files, payroll and HRIS updates
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records and tracking systems
  • Compile ad hoc statistical reports and develop recommendations for improvement
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for internal business; facilitate workgroups, training sessions and meetings
  • Lead, coordinate and deliver orientation and manage onboarding logistics
  • Actively participate in and provide strategic guidance on Campus Recruitment initiatives
  • Conduct role evaluations, post job requisitions contribute to recruitment plans and pro-actively manage the candidate experience to attract top talent
  • Produce job offers and conduct reference checks
  • Conduct exit and stay interviews and manage terminations as appropriate
  • Utilize talent acquisition and social media platforms to build a talent pool
  • Communicate disability management matters with benefits team members, provide support to payroll teams to manage payroll issues
  • Assist in the planning and facilitation of learning and development programs
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Skills and Experience

  • Post-secondary education and accreditation with HR specialty
  • Completion of, or working towards, CPHR designation
  • 5+ years of HR experience in a high volume, professional human resources environment in a generalist, advisor or business partner capacity
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and critical thinking skills as well as a sense of urgency
  • Exceptional customer service mindset
  • Highly proficient in the full MS Office suite
  • Professional services industry experience is considered an asset
