Community Living Mississauga has been a source of support for people who have an intellectual disability since 1955. We provide a variety of supports and services to people who have an intellectual disability, including residential, employment resources, community engagement, supported independent living, respite, and day programs. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Assistant will provide quality administrative support within the HR department.
Wage: $23/hour, 35 hours per week, 8-weeks
Start Date: TBD
This position would gain exposure to a diverse range of HR functions such as providing assistance with recruitment, training, health and safety, and orientation.
This position will support with recruitment for our summer program.
In addition, the Human Resources Assistant would assist the HR Team with any projects that are assigned.
The Human Resources Assistant would learn service orientation through communication with potential candidates in the recruitment process, answering inquiries from employees, filing and assisting with new employee orientation.
Enrolled and actively pursuing a Human Resource Management degree or diploma
Have a Valid Ontario Driver’s License (Class G or G2), with access to a reliable vehicle and car insurance.
Possess excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
Proficient in PC computer environment that utilize MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Are between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
(b) be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act [S.C. 2001, c. 27]*; and
(c) be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.
*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
