Job summary

Bitumar, based in Montreal-East, is seeking a Human Resources Advisor to report to the HR Director and lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and labor relations initiatives. You will partner with managers to deliver a positive employee experience in a fast-moving environment.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in HR, is fluent in French and English, and brings strong admin and recruitment experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset.

• Experience in recruitment.

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluent bilingualism (French and English) required.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and onboarding: draft offers, screen, interview, and coordinate onboarding with IT and teams.
• General HR management: conduct exit interviews, organize training, handle disciplinary matters, maintain HR data.
• Administration: review documents, support internal events, and assist with process improvements.

Your mission

As a Human Resources Advisor, you will report to the HR Director and play a central role in the department's activities. You will actively participate in deploying HR initiatives, particularly in recruitment, onboarding, training, and labor relations.

This role is a great opportunity to develop your expertise by contributing concretely to diverse and value-added projects. In collaboration with the HR team and managers, you will help provide a positive and consistent employee experience.

Recruitment and onboarding

• Draft and post job offers;

• Handle staffing for assigned positions (pre-screening, phone interviews, sourcing, pre-employment checks, medical exams);

• Prepare job offers and contracts;

• Organize the onboarding and integration of new employees (integration plans, orientation, welcome materials);

• Coordinate with internal teams, including IT.

General human resources management

• Conduct exit interviews;

• Coordinate internal and external training sessions;

• Conduct disciplinary investigations and draft disciplinary notices, if necessary;

• Compile and structure training data (1% law);

• Ensure follow-up and updates on work permits.

Administration

• Review documents (employee handbook, communications, etc.);

• Support administrative activities and propose improvements;

• Contribute to organizing internal events;

• Perform other related tasks.

Desired profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field;

• Experience in recruitment;

• Experience in administration or human resources management;

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite;

• Flawless bilingualism (French and English) required. Ability to write and converse in both languages without difficulty;
