Job summary

Region of Waterloo's Human Resources division seeks a Senior HRIS Systems Analyst to manage administration, maintenance, configuration, and integration of HR systems such as SAP HCM and UKG WFM. You will oversee system changes, data governance, and reporting to support accurate employee data and payroll operations.

You will collaborate with ITS, AMS, and external vendors, lead project teams, and deliver training to ensure system integrity and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HRIS/payroll applications (SAP-HCM, Banner HR/Payroll) and related compliance requirements.
• Experience implementing, upgrading, and optimizing HR systems and data governance.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage external vendors/AMS providers.

Responsibilities

• Supervises HRIS analytics and HR system analysts.
• Leads HR system projects and upgrades with payroll, ITS, consultants.
• Provides training and guidance on data entry, security, and processes.
