Job summary

The Region of Waterloo is seeking an experienced HR Systems Administrator to manage the administration, maintenance, configuration, optimization, and integration of HR systems, including SAP HCM for core HR, onboarding, payroll, learning, and performance management.

You will lead system enhancement initiatives, ensure data governance and reporting, train users, and coordinate with ITS, AMS, and external vendors to deliver reliable HR technology that supports workforce operations and regulatory

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HR, accounting, financial, and information systems.
• University degree in a related field and public sector experience preferred.
• Experience managing system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises HR systems team and leads HR system component projects.
• Provides training and guidance to users on HR systems and data entry.
• Maintains data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates with ITS/AMS for system upgrades and enhancements.
• Develops and implements reporting interfaces and benchmarking analytics.
