Job summary

Sun Life Financial in Toronto, ON is seeking an HR Systems Analyst to optimize Workday and our HRIS landscape. You will administer HR systems, support outages, deliver reports, and partner with HR, IT and payroll to enable accurate data and compliant processes.

The role emphasizes data integrity, system configuration, agile collaboration, and delivering improvements across talent management, compensation and benefits. Flexible hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• 0+ years of experience with HCM/HRIS systems configuration, Workday experience a plus.
• Familiarity with ticket management tools such as Jira or Service Now.
• Experience, or ability to adapt and learn, in agile ceremonies.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and intermediate level with Excel.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• As part of a team, administer and maintain the system(s), primarily Workday, to include security, business processes/workflows, and configuration
• Manage and track HR system related service and/or product enhancement requests and incidents through Jira (or other ticketing system) ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders in accordance with our operating guidelines
• Partner with HR and business teams to identify process improvements and system enhancements
• Create, manage, and distribute HR reports and dashboards to support decision-making and compliance
• Maintain data integrity through regular audits, testing, and system updates
• Partner and/or support cyclical HR processes such as talent management, compensation planning, and benefits administration
