Job summary

Wilkinson & Company LLP in Ontario is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join our three-office team. This hands-on generalist role covers recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR systems support, with travel to Belleville, Trenton, and Kingston required.

You'll partner with leaders to deliver HR programs, maintain data accuracy in our HRIS, and drive improvements in processes and the employee experience. A CHRP is preferred and 3–5 years of HR experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist or specialist role.
• CHRP designation, or progress toward a professional HR designation, is considered an asset.
• Working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Experience across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, performance management, and training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate full-cycle recruitment, including postings, screening, interviews, offers, and candidate communications.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation to provide new employees with a positive and consistent experience.
• Serve as a first point of contact for employees on HR policies, benefits, leaves, programs, and systems.
• Support employee relations and performance matters, escalating complex matters as appropriate.
• Coordinate performance management cycles, including communications, documentation, reminders, and reporting.
• Coordinate training and development activities and support the HRIS/LMS.
• Administer benefits, pension, leaves, wellness programs, and other total rewards initiatives.
• Support health and safety programs, documentation, training, and Joint Health and Safety Committee activities.
• Maintain accurate employee information and support the administration of our HRIS.
• Prepare HR reports, metrics, communications, and documentation.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, events, surveys, and Firm-wide HR projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, consistency, and the overall employee experience.
