About the Role:

We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join our team and support the day-to-day delivery of HR programs and services across our three offices.

Reporting to the HR Chair, you will be a key resource for employees and leaders while taking ownership of many of our core HR processes. This is a hands-on generalist opportunity for someone who enjoys recruitment, employee support, HR systems, program coordination, and finding better ways of doing things.
Please note: Travel to all three offices is a requirement of this role. Our offices are located in: Belleville, Trenton, and Kingston, ON.

What You'll Do:

• Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including postings, screening, interviews, offers, candidate communication, and co-op recruitment.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation to provide new employees with a positive and consistent experience.
• Serve as a first point of contact for employees on HR policies, benefits, leaves, programs, and systems.
• Support employee relations and performance matters, escalating complex or sensitive matters as appropriate.
• Coordinate performance management cycles, including communications, documentation, reminders, and reporting.
• Coordinate employee training and development activities and support administration of the Firm's Learning Management System.
• Administer benefits, pension, leaves, wellness programs, and other total rewards initiatives.
• Support health and safety programs, documentation, training, and Joint Health and Safety Committee activities.
• Maintain accurate employee information and support the administration and continued improvement of our HRIS.
• Prepare HR reports, metrics, communications, and documentation.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, events, surveys, and Firm-wide HR projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, consistency, and the overall employee experience.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

• Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist or specialist role.
• CHRP designation, or progress toward a professional HR designation, is considered an asset.
• Working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Experience across areas such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, performance management, and training.
• Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-oriented approach.
• Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to appropriately handle confidential information.
• Comfort working independently while collaborating closely with HR leadership.
• Experience with HRIS platforms; experience with Rippling is considered an asset.
• Experience in a professional services environment is considered an asset.
