City of Vernon is seeking an experienced HR Services Manager to lead day-to-day HR Services and provide strategic advisory support to organizational leaders. This role partners across departments to ensure compliant, timely, and customer-focused human resources services.

You will coach managers on employee relations, performance management and policy implementation, while overseeing labour relations activities and workforce planning initiatives.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressively responsible HR Services experience, including management or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, HR services best practices and policy development.
• Experience providing HR service advice to leaders and managing complex employee and labour relations matters.

Responsabilités

• Lead and oversee day-to-day HR Services across the organization.
• Provide advice and coaching to leaders on employee relations, performance management, workplace matters, policy and HR Services practices.
• Lead and support labour and employee relations activities, including investigations and collective agreement administration.
• Develop, review and implement HR Services policies, procedures and programs aligned with organizational priorities.
• Support workforce planning, organizational change, talent management and employee engagement initiatives.
• Provide leadership and direction to HR Services staff, fostering accountability and a service-focused team.
• Support HR Services budgeting and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR Services processes, systems and service delivery.
• Build strong partnerships with leaders and employees to deliver responsive, customer-focused HR Services.
