Title: HR Manager

Location: Burlington

Salary: $75,000-$90,000

Responsibilities
  1. Lead Recruitment & Selection: Take charge of attracting and hiring top-tier talent to support the organization's mission and growth.
  2. Onboarding & Employee Integration: Develop and implement engaging onboarding programs to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.
  3. Foster Positive Employee Relations: Cultivate a supportive and inclusive workplace through effective communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives.
  4. Performance Management: Guide managers in performance appraisals, identify areas for employee development, and implement improvement plans to enhance individual and team performance.
  5. Training & Development: Identify and address training needs, coordinate learning initiatives, and monitor their effectiveness to drive continuous employee growth.
  6. Ensure Compliance: Stay up-to-date with Canadian employment laws, update HR policies, and conduct audits to ensure legal and organizational standards are met.
  7. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team, ensuring strong performance and career growth opportunities for each team member.
Qualifications
  1. Educational Background: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is required. A Master’s Degree or equivalent post-graduate certification is preferred.
  2. Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources or Organizational Development, ideally within the NGO or charity sector.
  3. HR Expertise: Deep knowledge of Canadian employment laws and the ability to apply them effectively in daily operations.
  4. HR Skills: Experience in policy development, advising managers, and using tools like Workday is a plus.
  5. Management Abilities: Strong leadership and time management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and develop others.
  6. Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Work Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Canada.
