Job summary

JD Sweid Foods in Waterloo is seeking an Human Resources Manager to lead all HR functions at our Waterloo facility, reporting to the HR Director. You will advise leaders and employees on employee relations, health and safety, recruitment, training, performance management, and compliance.

You will drive safety initiatives, foster a positive workplace culture, manage HR operations and policy development, and lead projects that improve employee experience and business performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership.
• Strong background in employee relations, recruitment, health and safety, training and development, performance management, and employment legislation.
• Manufacturing experience is required; food manufacturing experience is preferred.
• CHRP designation (or working toward completion) is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, influence, and support management teams.
• Strong investigative, conflict resolution, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems.
• Full-time, in-office position
• Monday to Friday work week

Responsibilities

• Lead all HR aspects at the Waterloo facility, reporting to the HR Director.

• Drive safety initiatives and employee engagement aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, systems, and employee records.
• Initiate and lead HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
