Job summary

Our client, a well-established Ontario-based custom cabinetry manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to lead the HR function. Reporting to the President, you will oversee recruitment, onboarding, payroll, health and safety compliance, and HR operations in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

This hands-on leadership role balances strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR activities, includes collaboration with department heads, and offers the opportunity to shape people

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in HR, Business Admin, or related discipline (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR Generalist or HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, health & safety regulations, and HR best practices.
• Experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full HR function including recruitment, onboarding and retention.
• Oversee payroll administration and benefits management.
• Ensure OHSA compliance and safety program administration.
• Develop HR policies, reporting and analytics for senior leadership.
