Job description

Our client is seeking a Human Resources Manager based in Edmonton to support the branch’s overall HR functions while working in partnership with the assigned National Development Centre Business Partner. Reporting to the Area Director, the HR Manager will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting and screening field employees in alignment with recruitment and selection policies.
  • Managing telephone and written inquiries related to field employee hiring.
  • Conducting specific HR components of Information Sessions and maintaining electronic employee records.
  • Administering the employee benefits program, including probation, arrears, and LOA reporting.
  • Participating in or leading the Health and Safety Program as directed by the supervisor.
  • Assisting with employee discipline and coaching as needed.
  • Performing other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized HR Certificate or Diploma program.
  • CPHR designation is considered an asset.
  • 3–5 years of HR experience with a focus on full-cycle recruitment, performance management, and WSIB claims management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
