Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support our Ottawa branch. You will handle recruitment, orientation, workers' compensation processes, and health and safety program participation, while maintaining HR records and ensuring compliance with provincial regulations.

Ideal candidates have a post-secondary HR education, at least four years of HR experience in a fast-paced setting, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in human resources or industrial relations.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
• CHRP/CHRL designation considered a strong asset.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with MS Office, data management, and spreadsheets.
• Strong knowledge of Employment Standards, Human Rights, OH&S, and labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and selection of various employees.
• Participation in orientation session arrangements and delivery.
• Process Workers' Compensation claims including documentation and follow-up.
• Participate in or lead the local Health and Safety Program.
• Assist managers with progressive discipline and counseling per company policies.
• Maintain current and past HR files with required documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with provincial legislation related to Employment Standards, HR, OH&S, and labor laws.
• Support other HR tasks as requested by manager or Business Lead.
