Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist for a 6-month contract. You will partner with restaurant leadership and HR teams to support, engage, and retain a high-performing workforce across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate will hit the ground running, manage competing priorities, and build strong relationships with leaders. This role offers a hybrid work environment and comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or post-graduate HR certification.
  • CHRP designation required or near completion; CHRL preferred.
  • 3+ years of corporate HR experience supporting 1,000+ employees across multiple locations.
  • Experience supporting operations across multiple provinces.
  • Experience in high-volume, multi-site environments (QSR, retail, manufacturing).
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, coaching, investigations, OH&S, and compliance.
  • Experience supporting wellness, absence management, and return-to-work programs.
  • Strong Excel skills with reporting, tracking, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary HR resource and trusted partner for restaurant leadership on employment matters.
  • Support employee relations, including performance management, coaching, counselling, conflict resolution, discipline and termination.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and support compliance and employee-related matters.
  • Administer and support employee wellness, engagement, health and safety, and return-to-work programs.
  • Facilitate liaison with third-party vendors for return-to-work programs.
  • Support administration of the Group Benefit Plan Program.
  • Develop, update and support HR policies, procedures and training materials.
  • Prepare employee communications and guide leadership on compliant communications.
  • Conduct and support HR audits and address findings.
  • Provide tools and support to leadership to manage employment matters effectively.
  • Prepare HR reports and dashboards for trend analysis and workforce planning.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our client’s fast-paced, people-first organization.

In this role, you will partner closely with restaurant leadership and a collaborative HR team to support, engage, and retain a high-performing workforce. What You’ll Do
  • Act as the primary HR resource and trusted partner for restaurant leadership on a variety of employment-related matters.
  • Support employee relations, including performance management, coaching, counselling, conflict resolution, discipline, and termination.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and support the management of compliance and employee-related matters.
  • Administer and support employee wellness, engagement, occupational health and safety, and return-to-work programs.
  • Facilitate and liaise with third-party vendors to support Early and Safe Return-to-Work programs.
  • Support the administration of the Group Benefit Plan Program across the organization.
  • Develop, update, and support HR policies, procedures, training materials, and best practices.
  • Prepare employee correspondence and provide guidance to leadership on effective and legally compliant employee communications.
  • Conduct and support HR audits and ensure findings are communicated and addressed appropriately.
  • Ensure restaurant leadership has the tools, resources, and support needed to manage employment-related matters effectively.
  • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and tracking tools to support trend analysis and workforce planning.
  • Monitor internal processes and legal compliance while identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and HR practices.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
What You Bring
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, and/or relevant post-graduate HR certification.
  • CHRP designation required or near completion; CHRL is preferred.
  • 3+ years of corporate head office HR experience supporting a workforce of 1,000+ employees across multiple locations.
  • Experience supporting operations across multiple provinces is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume, multi-site environment, such as QSR, retail, manufacturing, or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, workplace investigations, discipline, termination, OH&S, disability management, and employment-related compliance.
  • Experience supporting employee wellness, absence management, and return-to-work programs.
  • Strong Excel skills, including reporting, tracking, and data analysis. Experience with PivotTables and VLOOKUP is preferred.
  • Technologically adept and comfortable navigating multiple HR and online platforms.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and able to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset.
