Job summary

1911 Gold is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support HR functions at our mining operations in Bissett, Manitoba. The role focuses on fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing employee engagement as we advance the True North Gold Project.

You will assist in recruitment, onboarding, recordkeeping, policy development, employee relations, training, benefits and payroll administration, and exit interviews to improve retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous internship experience in Human Resources.
• Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations in Canada.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
• Support onboarding and orientation processes for new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Support employee relations by addressing concerns and facilitating conflict resolution.
• Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance.
• Assist in the administration of employee benefits and payroll processes.
• Conduct exit interviews and analyse feedback to improve retention strategies.
