Senior Human Resources Business Partner - 2026-076

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based out of our Saskatoon head office, working a Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional travel to the McIlvenna Bay Mine site and local communities.

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is advancing the McIlvenna Bay project, a cornerstone asset and one of the most significant copper development projects in Canada. With commercial production in the second half of 2026, this world-class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver - key metals for the global transition to green energy. We are committed to sustainable development, environmental protection, and building strong communities. We believe in empowering our people, fostering a culture of growth, and creating opportunities for meaningful careers as we build the mines of the future.

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) provides strategic HR partnership and support to leadership within a dynamic mining environment. This role works closely with leaders to align people strategies with business objectives, support organizational effectiveness, and foster a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

The role also supports broader organizational and workforce development initiatives, including employee engagement, leadership development, diversity and inclusion programs, and community-based workforce strategies. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, Indigenous Relations teams, and community partners, the Senior HRBP contributes to initiatives that strengthen talent pipelines, support workforce participation, and drive organizational effectiveness and growth.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Partner with leaders to align people strategies with operational and business objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and employees, acting as a trusted advisor on HR matters, workplace issues, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, employment legislation, performance management, employee relations, and progressive discipline.
  • Support organizational design, workforce planning, and workforce optimization initiatives to meet evolving operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR, Indigenous Relations, and community stakeholders to support workforce development initiatives, talent pipelines, and community participation strategies.
  • Coach leaders on employee engagement, leadership effectiveness, team development, accountability, and workplace culture.
  • Lead and support workplace investigations, including interviews, fact-finding, and investigation summaries.
  • Lead the implementation and follow-through of HR-related action items and commitments arising from partnerships with our local Indigenous communities, ensuring responsibilities, timelines, and deliverables are effectively managed.
  • Independently facilitate meetings, discussions, and working sessions with leaders, employees, and key stakeholders to address workplace matters, resolve issues, and advance organizational and workforce initiatives.
  • Support organizational initiatives including compensation reviews, leadership development, diversity and inclusion programs, onboarding, training, and change management activities.
  • Monitor HR trends and workforce metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and employee records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Represent the organization professionally at community, recruitment, and public-facing events.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the mining or industrial sectors;
  • Experience supporting organizational change, workforce planning, and workforce development initiatives. Strong employee relations experience, including workplace investigations, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or supporting community workforce initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of core HR functions, including workforce planning, talent management, organizational development, and leadership support.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership coaching skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with the ability to manage changing priorities.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and HR-related technologies.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $118,000 - $130,000/year based on experience and qualifications. Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
