The Coordinator, Human Resources supports the Calgary office HR team with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, payroll and benefits administration, and

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field is required.
• Experience in a Law Firm or professional services firm is an asset.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in a Human Resources role.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a professional, approachable demeanor.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment efforts by screening candidates, conducting interviews, drafting postings, and reference checks.
• Assist onboarding with welcome packages, documentation, onboarding sessions, and office tours.
• Maintain employee lifecycle changes in the HRIS for Calgary staff, including lawyers.
• Assist with annual performance evaluations and bonus programs using VIWAVE.
• Prepare payroll and benefits forms, ensuring accurate titles, salaries, and department changes.
• Draft employee communications related to changes in employment status or hours.
• Coordinate probationary reviews and exit interviews.
• Support SAIT practicum recruitment and May program coordination.
• Organize Staff Appreciation Week and Take Your Kid to Work Day activities.
• Plan internal benefits initiatives and wellness events.
• Schedule HR team meetings and other departmental events.
• Review overtime submissions and timesheets for payroll preparation.
• Provide admin support to HR Manager/Director and Payroll/Benefits Managers.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
