Job summary

National Defence- Canadian Forces Housing Agency seeks a Housing Projects and Maintenance Technician in Trenton to join a technical team responsible for inspections, maintenance coordination and upkeep of CFHA housing portfolio.

You will identify repair needs, plan and supervise work orders with service providers, verify completion, and assist with technical documentation while ensuring safety and code compliance across housing units.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.
• Experience in housing maintenance or property inspections.
• Knowledge of cost estimating and codes in residential construction and renovations.
• Ability to collaborate with partners and stakeholders; achieve results.
• Effective written and oral communication; able to plan, prioritize and organize work.
• Commitment to client service, initiative, dependability and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and document repair and maintenance requirements for CFHA housing units.
• Plan, organize and implement repair and maintenance work through service providers; prepare work orders.
• Oversee and confirm work completion per contract, specs and codes.
• Conduct inspections of housing units and systems for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Provide client service and coordinate repair plans with occupants and providers.
• Provide guidance to service providers and team members; maintain safety and compliance.
