Socket.dev is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on building systems in Ottawa, with emphasis on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety compliance. You will coordinate with property managers, NCC staff, clients and service providers to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, a secondary school diploma, and the ability to work on site in the National Capital Region.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Building Technical Services, you will be responsible for the completion of assigned preventative and corrective maintenance duties and emergency repairs on various types of mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) or plumbing systems, and of any other tasks related to building maintenance. You will also be responsible for performing work in accordance with established processes and practices and for complying with internal and external requirements including but not limited to building codes, environmental, health and safety, and fire protection regulations and legislation.
You will liaise and coordinate with a range of internal and external parties, including property managers, project managers, National Capital Commission (NCC) staff, clients/occupants, senior officials, and service providers to identify, assess and define solutions to technical issues and to implement corrective actions to resolve them.
Successful completion of a secondary school diploma or an employer approved alternative.
