Job summary

National Defence- Canadian Forces Housing Agency (CFHA) in Shilo, MB, is seeking a Chief of Residential Housing Projects and Maintenance. The role leads asset management, planning of rehabilitation and capital projects, and oversees a team delivering repair and maintenance services for CAF housing.

You will guide project development, coordinate with external providers, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards while managing budgets and timelines. Relocation to Shilo is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.
• Experience: Inspections and maintenance of residential or commercial properties.
• Experience: Project management and contract management.
• Experience: Managing financial resources and supervising a team.
• Competencies: Project management, collaboration with partners, vision and strategy, mobilizing people.
• Abilities: Plan, prioritize, organize work; communicate effectively in writing and orally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee plans, reports, and financial analyses for asset management and capital/recapitalization.
• Manage repair and maintenance operations and contract management from initiation to implementation.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Provide guidance on design specifications, drawings, and regulatory standards for capital projects.
• Identify and resolve operational challenges using risk management and QA strategies.
• Lead and mentor a team of staff, including performance management and development.
