Niagara Casinos is hiring a Houseperson on a fixed term contract for Casino Niagara and Fallsview properties. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness and supplies in guest areas, responding to requests, and supporting a 24/7 operation.

The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, reliable, with strong communication and multitasking skills, and able to work independently or as part of a team to deliver exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors, carpets, elevators and windows to hotel standards.
• Restock guest room amenities and cleaning supplies.
• Deliver and remove cots, fridges, cribs and microwaves to rooms.
• Inspect equipment for damage or malfunction and report it.
• Assist with garbage disposal.
• Lift up to 20 pounds and push/pull up to 30 pounds repeatedly.
• Clean and maintain smoking or non‑smoking rooms when needed.
• Respond to guest requests professionally and promptly.
• Follow OH&S policies and legislation; work safely.
• Know activities and promotions at casino properties.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Support a 24/7 operation with flexibility.

The job involves:

• Ensuring all floors, carpets, elevators, and windows are maintained to hotel standards
• Restocking guest room amenities, cleaning products and supplies
• Delivering and removing cots, fridges, cribs and microwaves to guest rooms
• Inspecting and reporting any equipment damage or malfunction
• Assisting with the disposal of garbage
• Lifting up to 20 pounds pushing and pulling up to 30 pounds repeatedly throughout your shift
• Cleaning and maintaining smoking or non‑smoking rooms when needed
• Responding to guest requests in a professional and timely manner
• Work safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation
• Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties
• Working independently and as one team that supports and helps one another
• Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation

• Previous work experience cleaning common areas and stocking amenities in guest rooms
• Sense of urgency, accountability and a high level of integrity and confidentiality
