Job summary

Niagara Casinos seeks a skilled Electrician for a full-time role supporting casino properties in Canada. You will lay out, assemble, repair, test power equipment, fixtures, and lighting systems, read blueprints, and collaborate with external contractors.

This position requires strong safety discipline and flexibility to support a 24/7 operation. Candidates must hold a Certificate of Qualification 309A and a valid G license, with at least two years in commercial electrical work, and knowledge of

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification 309A required for this role.
• Minimum two years in electrical trade within construction or commercial setting.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls, VSDs, lighting, fire alarm, UPS and generator is preferred.
• Arc Flash, Fall Arrest, high voltage (13,800 volts) and WHMIS training expected.
• Valid G license with clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, repair, troubleshoot, maintain, connect and test power equipment and electrical fixtures.
• Complete on-demand and preventative maintenance work orders.
• Coordinate with external contractors, providing escorts and direction as needed.
• Assist with spare parts inventory and purchase orders.
• Read blueprints to ensure correct installation and safety compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of activities across casino properties and stay compliant with OH&S policies.
• Support 24/7 operations with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Laying out, assembling, repairing, troubleshooting, maintaining, connecting and testing power equipment, electrical fixtures, conduit, junction boxes, circuit protection devices, and related equipment.
• Completing all on-demand and preventative maintenance work orders.
• Working with external contractors by providing escorts, assistance and direction.
• Assisting with maintaining spare parts inventory by requesting purchase orders.
• Reading blueprints.
• Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties.
• Working independently and as one team that helps and supports one another.
• Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation.
• Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician in good standing.
• Minimum two (2) years working in the electrical trade in a construction or commercial environment including working knowledge of HVAC controls, VSD’s, Lutron Lighting, fire alarm, UPS (Powerware) and Generator.
• Knowledge & training in the following areas: Arc Flash, Man-Lift operation, Fall Arrest, High Voltage (13,800 volts) and WHMIS.
• Valid “G” driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Fire Alarm Technician certification and fire extinguisher handling.
