Job summary

Alt Hotel Halifax Airport is seeking a diligent housekeeper to support our team at 40 Silver Dart Drive, Enfield, NS. You will ensure cleanliness of common areas, assist with room readiness, and help maintain attractive spaces for guests.

The role emphasizes reliability, initiative, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment. Prior hospitality or housekeeping experience is an asset, and physical stamina is important for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (asset)
• Experience in a similar position (asset)
• Good physical condition: standing long periods, ability to bend and lift up to 50 lb
• Autonomy, proactivity, strong prioritization and efficiency

Responsibilities

• Ensure housekeeping of common areas and document issues to be corrected
• Participate in all cleaning, handling, and room availability tasks
• Perform layout and furnishing changes; disassemble/reassemble furniture
• Gather laundry items and stock floors with bedding
• Perform cleaning tasks for draperies, windows, balconies, decks, carpets, floors, etc.
• Respond to guest requests with care and contribute to guest experience
