Germain Hôtels in Halifax, Nova Scotia is seeking a reliable housekeeping attendant to maintain clean common areas and ensure rooms are ready for guests.

You will perform a variety of housekeeping tasks, assist with laundry, and respond to guest requests with care. The role emphasizes punctuality, autonomy, and efficient priority management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, an asset
• 1 year experience in a similar position
• Good physical condition: standing for long periods and ability to bend, lift loads up to 50 lb
• Intermediate level of English : spoken
• Autonomy, proactivity, good management of priorities and efficiency

Responsibilities

• Ensure housekeeping of common areas and document all issues to be corrected.
• Participate in all cleaning, handling, and room availability tasks.
• Perform layout and furnishing changes; disassemble/reassemble furniture.
• Gather laundry items and stock all floors with bedding.
• Perform specific cleaning tasks for draperies, windows, balconies, decks, carpets, floors, etc.
• Respond to guest requests with care and attention and contribute to continually improve their experience.
