Job summary

Alt Hotel Halifax Airport, 40 Silver Dart Drive, Enfield, NS, is seeking a Guest Service Agent to greet guests and provide personalized service for a memorable stay.

You will check-in/out, assist guests, and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations. The role requires attentiveness, curiosity, and a positive attitude in a hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• 18 months experience in a similar hospitality role.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Strong customer service orientation and positive attitude.
• Ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
• Good listening skills to understand guest needs.
• Basic computer skills; OPERA PMS is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and check-out; manage arrivals and departures and keep operations smooth.
• Respond to guest requests with care to continually improve their stay.
• Handle guest inquiries in person, by phone or email promptly and courteously.
• Resolve issues proactively to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with departments to offer a personalized guest experience.

We\'re looking for that person who uses his or her curiosity and attentiveness to every encounter every day. This person acts as an ambassador with our guests when they arrive at one of our establishments. The Guest Service Agent informs, greets, and helps generate personalized attention to ensure our guests have a memorable stay.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and check-out, verify and detail arrivals and departures, and ensure that internal activities run smoothly.
• Respond with care and attention to all guest requests, using your individuality and creativity to constantly improve their experience.
• Respond to guests\' requests courteously and efficiently, whether in person, by telephone or by email.
• Resolve guest issues and concerns in a proactive, satisfaction-oriented manner.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide relevant information that enables us to offer a personalized experience to our guests.

• 18 months experience in a similar position within hospitality industry
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Natural customer service orientation with a positive attitude
• Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and calm
• Strong listening skills to understand guest needs and preferences
• Good computer skills and experience with OPERA PMS, an asset
