Job summary

Wickaninnish Inn on Vancouver Island's west coast seeks a Housekeeping Leader to oversee daily operations and guide the housekeeping team within the senior management group. You will ensure high service standards and a welcoming guest experience.

You will lead with a hands-on approach, manage budgets and schedules, coordinate renovations and deep cleaning during annual closures, and maintain safety and sustainability practices aligned with Relais & Châteaux, Forbes, AAA, and Wickaninnish Inn

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years management or leadership experience in the service industry.
• 4 years of experience in a housekeeping department is necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and procedures.
• Knowledge of budgeting and cost management.

Responsibilities

• Be true to the mission statements of the Inn and follow Relais & Chateaux, Forbes, AAA standards.
• Lead the housekeeping operation as a hands-on manager with the leadership team.
• Be the primary contact for guests needing housekeeping assistance.
• Plan and coordinate housekeeping activities and schedules.
• Create and manage the annual budget for the Housekeeping Department.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety across all Inn areas.
• Hire, train and supervise housekeeping staff.
• Assist with renovations, deep cleaning during annual closure.
• Source, purchase, and inventory housekeeping supplies and equipment.
