Job summary

Wickaninnish Inn on Vancouver Island’s Pacific coast seeks a Housekeeping Leader to drive day-to-day operations and uphold Relais & Châteaux and Forbes standards. You will lead the housekeeping team, coaching staff while ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

The role is based on-site with a focus on budget discipline, safety, and hosting a culture of belonging. Forbes/AAA accolades and a commitment to sustainability are central to the guest experience.

Qualifications

• Exemplary guest service skills and enthusiasm for exceeding guest expectations.
• Minimum 2 years management or leadership in the service industry or 4 years in housekeeping.
• Strong budgeting and cost management knowledge.
• WHMIS knowledge and/or certification.

Responsibilities

• Be true to the Inn's mission and the Relais & Châteaux/Forbes/AAA standards.
• Lead the housekeeping department with a hands-on management style.
• Be the contact for guests needing immediate housekeeping assistance.
• Create a learning and development culture for housekeeping staff.
• Plan and coordinate housekeeping activities and schedules.
• Develop and monitor department systems to drive efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Prepare and manage annual housekeeping budget and payroll.
• Ensure health & safety standards are met and maintained.
• Source, purchase, and inventory housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Oversee renovations, deep cleaning, and maintenance during annual closures.
