Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking compassionate in-home housekeepers to provide companionship, emotional support, and light household assistance in clients' homes. You will follow each client’s Plan of Care to ensure comfort, safety, and independence, building meaningful relationships while maintaining high standards of confidentiality.

The role emphasizes non-medical care, flexible scheduling, ongoing training, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' daily lives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement).
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are considered strong assets.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and organized.
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to quality client care.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care based on each client’s Plan of Care.
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement.
• Support clients’ emotional well-being and mental alertness.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties including: Vacuuming, Dusting, Laundry, Dishwashing, Bathroom and kitchen cleaning.
• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality.

Position Summary

The housekeeper provides companionship, emotional support, and light household assistance to clients while following each client’s individualized Plan of Care. This role plays an important part in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

Physical & Working Conditions

• Work performed within clients’ homes in the community
