Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking compassionate, dependable housekeepers to provide non‑medical in‑home support for seniors in the Langley area. You will help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent by performing light housekeeping and fostering companionship in a respectful, dignified environment.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma (or equivalent) with CPR/First Aid and a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR & First Aid Certification is required.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are assets.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical care based on each client’s Plan of Care.
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities and social engagement.
• Support clients’ emotional well‑being and mental alertness.
• Assist with light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, dishwashing, bathroom and kitchen cleaning).
• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality.

Position Summary

The housekeeper provides companionship, emotional support, and light household assistance to clients while following each client’s individualized Plan of Care. This role plays an important part in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care based on each client’s Plan of Care
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement
• Support clients’ emotional well-being and mental alertness
• Assist with light housekeeping duties including:
  • Vacuuming
  • Dusting
  • Laundry
  • Dishwashing
  • Bathroom and kitchen cleaning
• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality

Physical & Working Conditions

• Work performed within clients’ homes in the community
