Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking compassionate, dependable individuals for non-medical in-home care to support seniors in Vancouver area, including Burnaby and Richmond. The housekeeper will provide companionship, light housekeeping, and follow each client’s Plan of Care to promote comfort, dignity and independence.

Responsibilities include documenting care notes, ensuring confidentiality, and adapting to clients’ needs. Travel to client homes may be required; a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support.

• Maintain and update care notes and documentation on time.
• Follow client’s Plan of Care and safety procedures.
• Support client’s emotional well-being and independence.
• Ensure confidentiality and build trust with clients.

Position Summary

The housekeeper provides companionship, emotional support, and light household assistance to clients while following each client’s individualized Plan of Care. This role plays an important part in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care based on each client’s Plan of Care
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement
• Support clients’ emotional well-being and mental alertness
• Assist with light housekeeping duties including:
  • Vacuuming
  • Dusting
  • Laundry
  • Dishwashing
  • Bathroom and kitchen cleaning
• Complete documentation and care notes accurately and on time
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain client confidentiality

Physical & Working Conditions

• Work performed within clients’ homes in the community
