Job summary

Choice Homecare Inc. in Ottawa and surrounding areas is seeking reliable housekeepers to join our home care team. If you are mature, self-starter and enjoy helping others, this could be the right fit for you.

Housekeepers will provide exceptional services for our clients, with 2-hour shifts that allow you to build a regular schedule and choose part-time or full-time work. Freelities include paid orientation, 24/7 scheduling support, and a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in communicating in English (verbal and written).
• Have high school diploma or higher.
• Have a valid police vulnerable sectors check (completed within the past 12 months) - must.
• Can work independently under minimal supervision.
• Have a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray (completed within the past 12 months) - must.
• Have valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle with proof of insurance - must.
• Are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or temporary residents of Canada with a valid work permit with a minimum of six months prior to expiration.
• Are available to work every other weekend.
• Have internet access through a mobile device.
• Have high energy and drive to deliver excellent service through strong communication skills.
• Ability to speak other languages is an asset.

Our housekeepers are important members of the home care team and workunder the supervision of theCare Manager. Housekeepers perform various non-personal care services necessary to meet the client’s needs.
Responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:

• Vacuuming
• Dusting
• Laundry
• Mopping
• Cleaning Bathrooms
• Cleaning Kitchens
• Organizing
• Meal Preparation

Choice Homecare requires candidates who:
