Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Canada is seeking caring individuals to provide non-medical in-home support that promotes comfort, dignity, and independence.

You will help with daily activities, companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, and documentation while maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (minimum requirement).
• Valid CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to maintain).
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with insurance is a bonus.
• Dependable, punctual and committed to client care.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• A genuine passion for helping others, with high standards of honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care according to each client’s Plan of Care.
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement.
• Support emotional well-being and mental alertness.
• Perform light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, etc.).
• Prepare meals.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s physical, emotional, or mental condition.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and team members.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and ongoing education.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and use equipment safely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical & Working Environment

• Regular physical activity including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and light lifting (up to 12 kg / 25 lbs)
