Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking compassionate individuals to provide in-home, non-medical care that promotes comfort, dignity, and independence. You’ll offer companionship, assist with daily tasks, and monitor client well-being in their own homes.

The role emphasizes reliability, clear communication, and adherence to care plans. Training, ongoing education, and a supportive team environment are provided to help you grow while making a meaningful difference in clients’ lives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to maintain).
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check required.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license is a plus.
• Dependable, punctual and compassionate with client care.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and integrity in client interactions.
• Genuine passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care according to each client’s Plan of Care.
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement.
• Support emotional well-being and mental alertness.
• Perform light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, etc.).
• Prepare meals.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and team members.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and ongoing education.
• Maintain confidentiality and use equipment safely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain strict confidentiality and use equipment safely
• Perform other related duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma (minimum requirement)
• Valid CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to maintain)
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with insurance is always a bonus!
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to client care
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Physical & Working Environment

• Regular physical activity including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and light lifting (up to 12 kg / 25 lbs)
• Manual dexterity and strength in both hands required
• Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens or infectious diseases
