Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking compassionate, reliable caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home support that promotes comfort, dignity, and independence for clients who wish to stay safely at home. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values empathy, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping others.

Responsibilities include following each client’s Plan of Care, offering companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and monitoring wellbeing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is the minimum requirement.
• Valid CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to maintain).
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with insurance is always a bonus!
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to client care

• Provide non-medical in-home care per each client’s Plan of Care.
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement.
• Support emotional well-being and mental alertness.
• Perform light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, etc.).
• Prepare meals.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s physical, emotional, or mental condition.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, and team members.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and ongoing education.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and use equipment safely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Physical & Working Environment

• Regular physical activity including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and light lifting (up to 12 kg / 25 lbs)
• Manual dexterity and strength in both hands required
• Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens or infectious diseases
