Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking compassionate individuals to provide non-medical in-home care, promoting comfort, dignity, and independence for clients in their own homes.

You will perform practical tasks, offer companionship, monitor wellbeing, and maintain clear communication with clients and the care team, while adhering to our standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Valid CPR & First Aid certification or willingness to maintain.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check is required.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Dependable, punctual and committed to client care.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Genuine passion for helping others with honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care according to each client’s Plan of Care.
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement.
• Support emotional well-being and mental alertness.
• Perform light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, etc.).
• Prepare meals as needed.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s physical, emotional, or mental condition.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and team members.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and ongoing education.
• Maintain confidentiality and use equipment safely.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

Physical & Working Environment

• Regular physical activity including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and light lifting (up to 12 kg / 25 lbs)
