Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to provide non-medical support that promotes comfort, dignity, and independence for clients in their own homes. You will offer companionship, assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and monitor changes, while maintaining confidentiality and clear communication with clients and the CK team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is the minimum requirement.
• CPR & First Aid certification or willingness to maintain.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check is required.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with insurance is a bonus.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to client care.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Genuine passion for helping others, with honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, non-medical care according to each client’s Plan of Care.
• Offer companionship through conversation, reading, activities, and social engagement.
• Support emotional well-being and mental alertness.
• Perform light housekeeping (vacuuming, dusting, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, etc.).
• Prepare meals.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s physical, emotional, or mental condition.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients and team members.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in training, staff meetings, and ongoing education.
• Maintain confidentiality and use equipment safely.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical & Working Environment
