Job summary

Red Deer Resort & Casino is seeking a Hotel Security Associate to maintain a safe environment for guests, associates, and patrons. The role covers patrolling, incident reporting, de-escalation, and assisting colleagues during emergencies.

The position requires security experience, customer service background, and relevant certifications. Fluent English, strong communication, and the ability to work varied shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of security experience preferred.
• Certification or completion of De-Escalation courses.
• ProServe and Protect Certification.
• First Aid Level C with AED preferred.
• Fluent in English with strong communication.
• Police Information Check and Driver's Abstract required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of the hotel, guests, and associates.
• Research and report incidents per hotel standards.
• Perform interior and exterior patrols and be visible on duty.
• Escort guests as needed (intoxicated or lost).
• Respond to calls for assistance from colleagues.
• Comply with Hotel and OH&S policies and procedures.
• Greet and communicate with associates and guests respectfully.
• Follow Health and Safety practices at all times.
• Perform other duties as required.
