Job summary

Elbow River Casino is seeking a vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The role requires patrolling the premises, deterring crime, and responding to emergencies with calm professionalism.

The ideal candidate will have prior security experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Alberta Security license and police background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience, preferably in a casino or high-traffic environment.
• Ability to remain alert and focused for long periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to handle conflict and emergencies calmly and professionally.
• Proficient in the use of security systems and technologies.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Police criminal record check is required.
• Alberta Security license is required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the casino premises to monitor and report suspicious activity or safety hazards.
• Provide a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, including medical incidents, and gaming offences.
• Escort guests and employees when necessary, ensuring safety.
• Enforce Casino and gaming rules and regulations, ensuring compliance with AGLC laws and policies.
• Work closely with other team members, law enforcement, and all other emergency responders as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests, ensuring a welcoming and secure environment.
