Job summary

The Red Deer Resort & Casino Hotel Security Associate ensures a safe environment for guests and associates, handling incidents and emergencies with discretion. The role includes patrolling interior and exterior areas and assisting guests as needed.

Under the Security Manager, you will escort guests when necessary, respond to assist calls, and uphold Health and Safety policies to maintain excellent service standards. Strong English communication and prior security experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of security experience preferred.
• Certification courses in de-escalation or related areas.
• ProServe and Protect Certification.
• First Aid Level C with AED preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Fluency in English.
• Background checks required.
• Experience with guest services.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of the hotel, guests, and associates.
• Research and report incidents per hotel standards.
• Perform interior and exterior patrols and be a visible security presence.
• Escort intoxicated or lost guests to rooms.
• Respond to calls for assistance.
• Comply with Hotel and OH&S policies.
• Greet and communicate with guests and staff positively.
• Follow Health and Safety practices.
• Performs other duties as required.
